Crew is where owned equipment becomes an active setup in Idle Mafia Game. The official Roblox description confirms that you can hire henchmen and equip them with weapons, armor, and vehicles, while your crew keeps defending turf when you are away. A current illustrated walkthrough reports separate Shop, Collection, and Crew views: find or buy an item, identify it in Collection, then assign it through Crew.

This hub keeps four indexes separate so a weapon is not compared with armor or a vehicle using unrelated fields. The public evidence does not support a complete named database yet, so every page is labeled as a currently documented index rather than pretending the full Collection has been transcribed.

Understand Shop, Collection, and Crew

Shop
Inspect currently offered gear, crates, prices, and conditions.
You know the exact item type and why the purchase solves a crew need.
Collection
Review known equipment identities and what your account owns.
The item appears under the correct weapon, armor, or vehicle type.
Crew
Assign owned equipment to yourself or a henchman.
The intended slot shows the item and the visible summary reflects the assignment.

Buying is only the middle step. Current community documentation warns that an owned item does not help until it is equipped. After every purchase or crate result, move through Collection and Crew rather than assuming inventory ownership equals active power.

Build a functional roster

Start with the role the account needs. A crew preparing for PvP needs enough visible Attack-related capability to make target selection sensible, but also needs Health, protection, cash management, and current defense rules. A crew focused on offline turf should be evaluated from actual defense outcomes, not from a guessed “defense score” that the public description never defines.

Assign one item at a time and observe the visible change. This isolates what the weapon, armor, or vehicle contributes. If multiple pieces change together, you cannot tell which effect belongs to which slot, especially when a temporary bonus is active.

Do not spread spending across every new item. Buy when the equipment fills an open slot, improves a role you actually use, or meets a verified requirement. Preserve property capital when a cosmetic or redundant purchase does not remove a real blocker.

Build the vehicle index

“Named entries pending” is not an invitation to guess. It tells you that the category is confirmed while the entity list is not. The in-game Collection is the practical lookup source until same-build names and fields are recorded.

Record every item with the same fields

For each item, capture exact name, type, slot, rarity if shown, visible effect, compatible unit, Shop or crate source, current price, ownership state, assignment state, version, and check date. Leave drop chance or a stat formula empty unless the current game states it or repeated testing supports it.

Aliases should point to one canonical record. Do not create two entries because a player shortens a name or calls a vehicle a “car.” Use the name displayed in Collection as primary.

Equip for a decision, not a total

A larger visible number can be useful, but ask what it changes. For PvP, compare outcomes against targets shown by the Fight screen. For defense, review attack or defense records after a controlled equipment change. For Family activity, ask which current role and objective the group needs.

Equipment cost also competes with properties. A weapon that improves a combat action can be worth buying; a small redundant improvement can wait if the same cash establishes passive income. The Cash Guide and Defense Guide help set those boundaries.

Crates and uncertain acquisition

Current community documentation says the Shop includes crates, and official artwork shows a crate with weapon, armor, and vehicle imagery. That supports crate availability, not a particular pool or drop rate. Read the crate’s live contents and probability disclosure before spending.

Do not infer rarity or odds from border color alone. Do not promise a named item from an image that merely represents the category. Record only the result the account actually receives, with the crate name and date.

Crew mistakes to avoid

  • Buying gear and leaving it unassigned in inventory or Collection.
  • Treating the Collection’s existence as proof that every entity has been publicly documented.
  • Comparing weapon Attack with armor or vehicle effects as if every slot has one universal score.
  • Opening crates without reading current contents, cost, or disclosed odds.
  • Equipping multiple new items at once, then guessing which one changed the result.
  • Spending property capital on redundant gear with no defined role.
  • Importing Capos, rarities, or items from the unrelated mobile Idle Mafia.

Review before logging out

Open Crew, confirm every intended slot and henchman assignment, note the carried cash you are leaving exposed, and check the current defense or Family objective. The official game says the crew continues defending turf, but the live record—not a generic formula—shows how the setup performed.

Continue with Henchmen for roster decisions, then use Stats and PvP to connect equipment with visible combat information.

Evidence note

Henchmen, weapons, armor, vehicles, and persistent crew defense are official. Menu flow and the one named early weapon are community reported; complete names, rarities, prices, crate pools, slot rules, and effects remain live-build data.
